The Friends of the Kelly Rink is a community funded non-profit with the aim of making ice skating accessible to everyone, but especially the youth of JP and Roxbury aged 5 years on up. Classes are held on Saturdays from early January 10 to February 28, 2026 with a weather make-up date on March 7 as necessary. Skating lessons are 30 minutes with slots at 11:00, 11:30, 12:00 and 12:30 with a slightly different selection of lessons at each time.
- Classes are for ages 5 years and older.
- In keeping with our organization’s mission of making skating available to all, our lessons are priced on a no-questions-asked pay-what-you-can-afford basis up to a suggested $100 donation (which includes rental skates). You may pay online or at the rink on your first day of lessons by cash or check if you prefer.
